Online Jobs Information | About the Job Information Center | Books for Job Seekers
The Job Information Center provides access to the New York State Department
of Labor's Jobs Bank database, several other Internet-based job-search resources, a resume writing tool, and videos and books for job seekers including information on resumes, interviewing, studying for civil service examinations, and starting your own business.
The Computer Workstation contains software for searches of several Jobs Bank databases on the Internet, a resume writing tool, and a laser printer. Staff is available on a limited basis to assist with use of the computer.
Dansville Public Library has many books, periodicals and newspapers of interest to jobs seekers. Other materials may be borrowed by interlibrary loan from other libraries in the Pioneer Library System. Training sessions for job seekers are being planned.
Dansville Public Library serves as one of three Job Information Centers
for Livingston County. The Job Information Center is partially funded by a Library Services Construction Act grant.
